2023 MG Comet Air EV Electric Car Body designs
The Comet will be unlike any other hatchback we’ve ever had in India – measuring just 2.9m long, the three-door, four-seater Comet will be the smallest four-wheeler on sale in India. It, however, won’t be quite as tight on space, as, thanks to its electric skateboard architecture, relatively long 2,010mm wheelbase, and boxy shape, interior packaging will be quite space-efficient.
The new MG electric small vehicle for India will be offered with a two-door body style. The company is likely to make substantial changes to the specs and equipment for India. The small car will be modified and adapted for Indian conditions.
The report claims that MG engineers will update the air con and battery thermal management system. The small car will also receive a new name for our market.
MG Comet Air EV Electric Car Lightings and Instruments
The New electric car is fully LED Lighting covered with LED Headlights and LED tail lights but small lights and Indicators are also LED with LED DRL lights, The rear profile looks simple, featuring a curved windscreen and small tail lights. There is a horizontal light bar below the windscreen that runs across the width. The number plate housing is placed on the lower bumper.
The car also features 10.25-inch digital screens for both infotainment and cluster, an electronic parking brake, steering-mounted controls, and connected car tech. The car has lots of infotainment with advanced features like Bluetooth mobile applications and other features.
New MG Air EV Comet battery pack, Motor, And Performance
MG Motor India will source the battery pack from the homegrown Tata AutoComp. The Tata AutoComp has entered into a joint venture with Chinese battery supplier Gotion for the design, manufacture, supply, and service of Li-ion battery packs for EVs in India. The MG Air is expected to be offered with two battery pack options 17.3kWh and 26.7kWh battery packs.
The larger battery offers a claimed range of 300km, but the version with the smaller pack comes with a claimed range of 200km. The battery pack will be paired with an electric motor which produces 38 bhp of power.

The India-spec MG EV will ride on a 2,010mm wheelbase. It is reportedly to measure around 2.9 meters in length, which makes it around 400mm smaller than the Maruti Alto. But the small electric car will be good for small car lovers who want to drive along with their small family.

Talking about the pricing, it is expected that the EV will be priced from Rs 8-10 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, the Air EV will compete with Tata Tiago EV and Citroen C3 EV. The MG Comet EV will be assembled in India and MG plans to give it over 60 percent localization to make it as competitive as possible.
