The public sector lender gave this information in a tweet in which it wrote, "This Independence Day, step into your dream home, with Zero processing fee on Home Loans. Apply Now".

Aside from this, women are being given the benefit of the very attractive discount facility on home loans by the country's largest lender. Under the home loan facility, women are being given the benefit of a 5% BPS interest concession. Apart from this, if you want to take a home loan under SBI's YONO service, you will still get the benefit of a 5% BPS interest concession. Note that one has to pay interest at the rate of 6.70% on the SBI home loans.

Note that the State Bank of India earlier waived a 100% processing fee on home loans under its Monsoon Dhamaka Offer, which ends on August 31, 2021. Typically the lender charges 0.40% of the loan amount as a processing fee on home loans. This gives an excellent opportunity to new home loan buyers and for existing home loan borrowers who have availed of home loans at high rates.
