Charge the phone fast without Fast Charger, know these ways.
Welcome back to our informative blog site knowing steps with a new Tech solution topic. If you want to fast charge your old Android phone without the help of a Fast Charger, then it is easy. Many times you must have also felt that the phone charges very slowly. It may be that this will annoy you too. But there is also a way to fast charge the phone. If seen, smartphone makers have improved the charging speed a lot in the last few years.
Many phone chargers nowadays days use 40W, 65W, and even 120W charging technology, but most budget phones still offer mediocre charging speeds and take a long time to fully charge the battery. Gets applied. But there are some ways, with the help of which you can charge the phone faster. Let's know about them….
Switch Off Your Phone When Charging
If you want to charge your iPhone or Android phone faster, then the best way is to turn off the phone and charge it. This is because the phone actively consumes power when turned on, which reduces the charging speed. At the same time, when the phone is switched off, it consumes less power. Hence the battery charges faster than usual.
Use Airplane Mode when charging
If you can't turn off your phone, then use Flight/Airplane Mode. Doing so will turn off the wireless radio and other connectivity features, reducing the active load on the phone. Using flight mode increases the charging speed of the phone. However, this will prevent you from receiving calls, messages, and notifications.
Fast-Charging Cable
Fast charging cable also makes a big difference in charging the phone fast. Most fast charging technology is equipped with high wattage, which will only run if the cable supports it. If your phone uses the original charging technology, it will work best with the original cable. For example, the OnePlus Warp Charge works with the original Warp cable or with the Realme/Oppo Vooke cable.
Wall Adapter or Power Banks
You can charge your phone in a number of ways, such as from a computer USB, wireless charger, power bank, or wall adapter. Although it is always better to use a wall adapter for charging. That's because most power banks charge at 10W (unless it has fast charging technology integrated with your phone), while USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports charge at 2.5W and 4.5W respectively, which is significantly slower.
Enable Power Saving Mode
Most phones come with built-in low power or power-saving mode. If your phone has any of these features, consider enabling it while the phone is charging. Power-saving mode restricts background process and connectivity features, which reduce consumption, increase charging speed.
Similarly, you can turn off unwanted features like Bluetooth, GPS Location, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, Mobile Data, and NFC to further speed up the charging speed. Make sure not to use the phone while it is charging. This will overheat the device and slow down charging.
Turn Off Optimized Charging
Does your phone have any features like optimized charging or smart/intelligent charging? Optimized charging focuses on preserving battery health by intelligently controlling and scheduling charging based on your usage. This is the reason why you must have experienced why your Android or iPhone takes too long to charge after a certain level or at a certain time. On an Android phone, open Settings and go to the Battery section. Here turn off Optimized Charging. On the iPhone, after opening the Settings, go to Battery > Battery Health. Now disable the toggle for Optimized battery charging.
Avoid High Temperatures placing the phone
A high temperature is not good for the battery. Overheating can damage the battery and shorten its lifespan. So when a phone starts to overheat, it automatically reduces the charging speed to bring down the temperature to a certain level. This is the reason why most phones with fast charging charge slow when they are hot. So try to keep your phone at the ideal temperature so that it can charge faster. Remove the case of the device and place it in a well-ventilated area while charging.
