To lock the Aadhaar card, you have to send a GETOTP SMS from your registered mobile number. After doing this, an OTP will come to your mobile number. This OTP will have to be re-written to the 1947 number by writing 'LOCKUID Aadhaar Number'.
As soon as you do this, your Aadhar card will be locked. With this, no one will be able to use it without your permission. After this process, hackers will not be able to do Aadhaar verification. So that your base will be protected.
Can be unlocked if You Want
After locking the Aadhar card, if you are thinking about how to use it again, do not take tension. Actually, the option to unlock the Aadhaar card is also given by UIDAI. In this, you have to process the same way you used to lock the card.
To unlock the Aadhaar cord, write GETOTP Aadhaar number from your registered mobile number and send it to 1947. Now after the OTP arrives, write it with the UNLOCKUID Aadhaar number and send it again to the 1947 number. By doing so, your Aadhaar card will be unlocked.
