Today, the state government has announced a complete lockdown. Which will be applicable from 6 am on 18/05/2021. The two major exams in the state, the Secondary Examination, and the Higher Secondary Examination were postponed as soon as the lockdown notice was not received by the state.

       WB 12th Board Exam 2021 date and decision on its occurrence will be released soon by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. However, the announcement by WBCHSE completely depends on the decision of the state government. As of now, the WB 12th Board Exam 2021 is scheduled from June 15 to July 2, 2021.

After the secondary examination, the Higher Secondary Examination 2021 has been postponed. Today, the state government has announced a complete lockdown. The notice said that since the state government had declared a complete lockdown, the higher secondary examination which was supposed to be taken in June would not be taken in June, the examination was being postponed.

The Official Notice by the WBCHSE

“In continuation  to  the announcement made by the State Government today, the undersigned is directed to notify all the recognized XII-Class Institutions of the state that Higher Secondary Examination 2021 is postponed and will not be held in June 2021"

      *** Students and peers have demanded further postponement in the WB 12th Board Exam 2021 due to the prevailing COVID 19 situation. Council's president further added that the board is ready to conduct the exam on time. Also, the West Bengal 12th Exam Date 2021 may vary depending on the Class 10 exam dates. While asking WBCHSE President Kalyanmoy Ganguly on WB 12th Board Exam 2021, he said that the board is waiting for the government's decision.
